October 19, 2009: Jacqui received lots of feedback on her AFOs and Platforms update from last week, including many requests to redo the same dress and shoes but with KAFOs. Since she hasn't worn her white leather braces in some time, she decided to do some posing last night to answer all those requests. It was the first genuinely chilly evening of the season, so soon after getting into her braces Jacqui decided to get a little closer to the fire. However, that simple task isn't as easy as it might sound with not only KAFOs on both legs, but also the extra-high heels on those platforms! Since she could lever herself down as she would with regular heels for fear of breaking them, she had to start from the sofa and lower herself to the floor, then push herself over to the hearth. Once again, as with the AFOs, the ankles were pinned in place so her feet were unable to flex during this process....

First, she had to pull herself back over to the sofa, and then figure out a way to pull herself back up. She finally found that by releasing one knee lock she could rotate into a semi-kneeling position and use her arms to pull up onto the sofa, where she could sit and catch her breath before trying to stand up!

October 23, 2009: The last time Jacqui had used her crutches she was wearing flats, so we had to extend them several holes to provide the necessary height to compensate for those heels!
